Usability 101 workshoppers conduct research methods for improving EHRs

Usability is one of the major barriers for health IT adoption, particularly for electronic health records. It was no surprise then that a capacity number of attendees took on the challenge of working through various usability research methods in the workshop Usability 101: Applied Methods. Edna Boone and Jan Lugibihl of the HIMSS Usability Task Force, which provides HIMSS members, vendors and external organizations with education, tools and best practices in the usability of health IT, led the workshop.
